Cooking can’t get any better guys! Seriously, January alone I have made a ton of recipes and I have been enjoying the process a lot more now. Cooking doesn’t have to be a daunting task, as long as you have ideas on what to make, you can make it enjoyable to whip things up.
Never in my life, I thought I’d be those ladies who collect cookbooks. I always figured that I would just cook from the top of my head like my mother and grandmother did. Sadly that isn’t the case with me, I need references and I need ideas on mixing things up. I can remember to make a few recipes here and there from the top of my head, but coming up with tons of different dishes especially at last minute is not my thing. So I compiled a list of Cookbooks that I’m currently loving to share with you guys today.
My goal this year was quick and delicious recipes for my family. I made it my business to get some books that did just that.
Skinny Taste Fast and Slow | The Skinny Taste Cookbook are both cookbooks by Gina over at The Skinny Taste. Her recipes are so delicious and healthy! It’s one of my favorite cookbooks right now because I am currently doing Weight Watchers and I love that her recipes are all healthier versions of food we absolutely love. Her website has the Smart Points on each recipe which is extra helpful too!
Cravings | I will be honest, I wasn’t too sure about this cookbook. Once I opened it up and saw all of the awesome recipes I was sold to try them. Crissy’s recipes are food that we eat everyday but kicked up a notch. Like I’m in love with her French Toast Casserole with Salted Frosted Flakes. See! The name of the recipe says it all on kicking our basic recipes up a notch. Would of never thought of a French Toast Casserole!
The Food You Crave | Another cookbook I love that is more on the light side like Skinny Taste. All about the food you crave but healthier versions. Ellie’s recipes are delicious and just looking through the book makes my mouth water. She also has delicious smoothy recipes one of my favorites is the Peanut Butter Split Smoothie.
Mexican Slow Cooker Cookbook | One of my favorite foods to eat is Mexican. When I saw this book had slow cooker recipes I was sold. This book has everything from all type of tacos to different kinds of dips to try. Love the variety and it’s nice to have Mexican food cooked at home instead of eating out all the time.
Damn Delicious | Chungah from Damn Delicious also a blogger makes cooking beautiful and super easy and fast. She like me, wanting to whip up fast and easy recipes and that is what this book is mainly about. She has ton of fast breakfast ideas, quick style take-out food, One pot dishes you name it.
The Weeknight Dinner | Love that this cookbook has 15-30 min meals that are so good! It’s great to have for those long days at work and you don’t know what to cook, this is the go to book.
What are your favorite Recipe books?! I would love to get more ideas on some new books to try, now that I have a few I would like to build more to my collection.
